The first passengers to use the latest low cost airline to fly from Birmingham Airport flew to Spain today, when BMI Baby's first official passenger flight left for Alicante at 10:00.
When all of the planned flights launch, BMI Baby will be operating 135 flights every week to 9 European destinations from Birmingham airport. Flights to the other destinations start at the end of March when the summer schedule launches.
A spokesperson for birmingham airport said: "Birmingham is set to become BMI Baby's largest UK base with more choice and our tiny fares available to even more destinations."
BMI Baby will operating flights from Birmingham airport to Alicante, Amsterdam, Belfast, Knock, Edinburgh, Malaga, Palma, Prague and Geneva.
