Copenhagen Airport closed after passenger bomb joke

Danish police evacuated part of Copenhagen airport today after a passenger jokingly told security staff he had a bomb in his hand luggage.
The area around the x-ray scanner was briefly evacuated before security officials determined that the bag contained no explosives. A 44-year-old Danish man has been charged with making threats.
The scare came amid a heightened alert across Europe following the London bomb attacks on 7 July. The man, who told police he regretted the joke, could face up to two years in prison.
A Police spokesman said: 'It's a bad time to make this kind of joke with the heightened security around here.' The joker was detained for questioning and missed his flight to Greenland.
