Lufthansa passengers reach all-time highs

With an annual total of 51.3 million passengers, 653,980 flights and a passenger load factor of 75%, the Lufthansa achieved three new records in 2005. Management said capacity expansion and successful sales management delivered growth and boosted passenger load factor in all traffic regions.

In 2005 51.3 million passengers, 0.7% more than in 2004, chose to fly Lufthansa. Capacity increased by a moderate 2.5%. However, as sales rose by 4%, the passenger load factor edged up one percentage point to an impressive 75%.
