Ryanair has announced that it will establish its 12th European base at Liverpool Airport (or Liverpool John Lenon Airport to give it it's full name).
Ryanair will invest $240 million to purchase four new 737-800s to base at liverpool airport and will launch nine routes from Liverpool Airport (to Barcelona Reus, Limoges, Pisa, Cork, Murcia, Shannon, Granada, Nimes and Venice), introducing the routes gradually from the start of their 2005 summer schedule.
The new flights will add to the four exiting routes from liverpool airport to Barcelona Girona, Dublin, Milan and Rome.
Separately, Ryanair announced new daily routes from Barcelona to both Blackpool airport and Pisa.
