The outer ring road joins Pudong International Airport to Hong Qiao International Airport (journey time: 30 - 40 minutes). The inner ring road leads to the People's Square and Shanghai city centre.
Public transport: The Maglev Train (the fastest magnetic levitation train in the world), connects the airport with metro line no.2 at Longyang station (journey time: 8 minutes). The train station is situated next to the airport and is connected to the terminal by a bridge. Each train takes around 100 passengers.
There are six airport bus routes, which serve different areas of Shanghai. Airport bus no. 1 connects Pudong International Airport with Hong Qiao International Airport (journey time: 30 - 40 minutes) and airport bus no. 2 runs to Shanghai Exhibition Centre. The other 3 bus routes are to Zunyi Road, Dongjiagwan Road and Shanghai Railway Station. The airport buses operate until the last flight.
Taxis are available, passengers must join the correct queue for the desired destination; queues are determined by journey duration (the journey time to Shanghai city centre is 25 - 40 minutes). Make sure the driver uses the meter.
Most of the major hotels run shuttle buses to / from the airport (they charge a small fee).
