Italy's leading low-cost airport is to close next weekend, causing disruption for thousands of travellers.
Bergamo Orio al Serio airport, north-east of Milan, will close from 08:00 on Thursday 6 October to 22:00 the following Sunday for what are called 'extraordinary runway works'. Many flights will be diverted to Brescia airport, about 60 miles east of Bergamo.
A special shuttle bus will run every hour or two between Brescia's airport and Milan, taking two hours and costing €14 (£10).
